We hunt for 100% wild quail in the beautiful Rolling Plains and the Panhandle of Texas. With over 130,000 acres of prime bobwhite quail habitat in Bailey, Kent, Mitchell, Haskell, Knox, Coke and Sterling County. Our quail numbers were outstanding in 2015-2016 with averages of 26 coveys per day while quail hunting. This year with our quail holdover and good spring and summer rains, our birds and the habit our in great shape. We are expecting great hatches and big coveys to hunting in Texas this fall. Our ranches quail habitats have the right mixture of weed growth, insects, cover, water and range management necessary to consistently produce top quality wild quail hunting in the Lone Star state. About where we Hunt The Rolling Plains is one of the few areas left in the US that still holds a stable, wild bobwhite quail population. Our ranches are some of very few in the Rolling Plains area that consistently produces outstanding wild bobwhite quail habitat. Excellent conditions in the Rolling Plains have produced a remarkable increase over last year's population. Many reports of a hearty reproductive response have been received from the region with pairs and nesting activity observed across the entire summer. Large broods and multiple age classes suggest high chick survival and re-nesting activity. Bobwhite quail numbers have not been recorded this high since 2005 and the species ability to seemingly "exponentially grow" was clearly demonstrated this past summer The High Plains also report marked improvement in bobwhite and scaled quail numbers. It has been over ten years since these levels have been recorded. We provide our quail with supplemental milo, corn, and wheat lower to mortality rate during stress periods and hatching season. We are studying ways to further improve our habitat for outstanding quail hunts for years to come. Lodging and meals are provided at all our hunting locations. You will be enjoying Texas style meals with lots of meat. We also provide cold water and colas in one of our Tundra Yeti Coolers. You will be hunting with professional dog handlers and well-trained pointers from one of our late model customized 4x4 quail hunting vehicles and ATV hunting rigs. We enjoy walk hunting as well.
